Volunteer Registration
Mon 10 Feb 2025
In order to volunteer with Arlington Little League, we need to take care of a few quick things first. ALL of our volunteers first need to enroll in our registration system. This gives us your contact information and allows the rest of the process to begin.
Once registered, every volunteer needs to take a brief online abuse-awareness training course in the current calendar year. When that's complete, upload a copy of that completion certificate along with your photo ID to our documentation form.
Our Managers' Committee will then contact you with a brief background check questionnaire.
For most volunteers, that's everything you need to get started. For our team managers, an additional online concussion awareness course is required.
Register as a Volunteer
Volunteer registration is quick and easy. We use Team Sideline to store both volunteer and player information. Just choose whether you'd like to volunteer for one (or more) specific team, e.g. as a coach or team parent, or whether you'd like to help in a league-wide role, e.g as an umpire or board member.
Complete Your Training
Little League International requires that every volunteer complete a brief online course that covers abuse awareness for adults. To take the course:
Visit the Little League Baseball training portal and sign in. Create an account if necessary.
If you need to create an account, the site will ask about league affiliation. You can search by name or by League ID Number. It is faster to search by number. Our League ID is 3460402. When you create a new account, you'll need to check your email before you can sign in
Once you're signed in, open the menu if you don't already see it and click "All" under courses.

Click the start button under "Abuse Awareness"

After you've successfully completed the course, you'll be able to download a certificate from the "Learner View" on the training portal.

In addition to the abuse awareness training required of all our volunteers, our baseball managers (or head coaches) must also complete the National Federation of Coaches Concussion in Sports Course at least once every three years.
To take that course:
- Click the button in the upper right-hand corner of the page to register or sign into your existing NFHS account.
- Make sure the state is Virginia in the drop-down and click the “Order Course” button. In the subsequent pop-up window select the “I will be completing this course” option and hit the “Continue” button.
- Click "Begin Course". If you are a returning coach or volunteer who completed this course prior to the 2022 season, you will need to complete the training again to secure a certificate with a 2025 date. If you have completed the course more recently but cannot find your certificate, reach out to the coaches' committee for assistance.
- Once you have completed the training you should be able to "Download Certificate" from the My Certificates page.
Upload Your Documentation
Once you've finished, upload your documentation here.
