9-10 Baseball    State Host: Bennett's Creek (6)
VA4 Representative: Great Falls

Great Falls (4) played Coeburn (13) on Friday, winning 19-0 and defeated Franklin County (12), 10-0 on Saturday in pool play.  Sunday Great Falls (4) beat Olive Branch (6), 11-1.  Great Falls completed pool play undefeated and defeated Fleet Park (8) in the first round of the single elimination championship round with seven other teams.  However, in the semi-final round Bridgewater (3) defeated Great Falls (4).
 

In the TOSC Great Falls defeated Tennessee in their first round of pool play, 4-2.  Great Falls lost its second game 8-7 to Florida, before defeated Georgia 14-4 in its third game.  In the semi-final round, Great Falls defeated Tennessee again, this time by a score of 11-4.  In the final, Great alls lost to Florida a second time by a score of 3-1, taking second place in the tournament.

In pool play Great Falls (4) defeated Front Royal (3) 16-6 and then stopped Upper Loudon (16) 14-0.  In the third game, Great Falls (4) defeated Abingdon (1) 12-0.  In the championship series Great Falls defeated Fleet Park (8), 14-3 and the nipped Atlee (5) 10-9 to win the state tournament.

In pool play, Reston National (4) defeated Richlands (11) and Westmoreland (15) by scores of 12-2 and 19-18 respectively.  In the third game of pool play Reston National (4) lost to Loudon South (16), 20-8, thereby, coming out of Pool D in second place.  In the single elimination championship round, Reston National (4) defeated Bridgewater (3) with a score of 10-0 and the next day defeated Poquoson (8) by a score of 13-9 to enter the final game against SYA East (10).  In the championship game, Reston National (4) defeated SYA East (10) to win the Virginia State Tournament and advance to the Southeast Regional tournament.

In the first game of pool play Reston National (VA4) defeated South Carolina (3) by a score of 2-0. In their second game Reston National (VA4) was defeated by Florida (25) 14-1.  Reston (VA4) finished third in Pool A by losing to West Virginia (5) 11-3 thereby not advancing to the semi-final round.  Reston (VA4) played Tennessee (7) in a consolation game and lost 13-0.

9-10 Softball    State Host: Coeburn (13)

McLean (4) defeated Deer Park (7) 10-0 on Friday and stopped Coeburn (13), 9-3 on Sunday.  Saturday games were postponed because of rain.  Tuesday McLean (4) defeated Tuckahoe (5), 3-0.  Then Wednesday, McLean defeated Green Run (8) by a score of 7-0.  Green Run (8) and Tuckahoe (5) or Louisa (14) will play at the top of the loser's bracket to determine who will play McLean (4) in the championship series.  McLean (4) came out of the winners' bracket series without a loss in the double-elimination format.  Green Run (8) defeated Tuckahoe (5) to come out of the losers' bracket and play McLean (4) in the final.  McLean (4) won the final over Green Run (8) with a score of 3-1, thus winning the Virginia State Championship.

On Friday McLean (4) defeated Bridgewater 15-0 and won over Olive Branch (6) on Saturday with a score of 14-0.  McLean (4) came out of pool play and into the single-elimination championship round, where they defeated Norton (13) by a score of 5-0.  On Tuesday, McLean (4) defeated Mechanicsville (5) in a semi-final game by a score of 4-1 and then in the second game of the day (championship) defeated Essex (15), 10-8.  McLean won the Virginia State tournament and advances to the Southeast Regional, played in Warner Robbins, Georgia.

In pool play McLean defeated South Carolina, 6-3, before falling to Florida, 13-3.  McLean completed pool play with a loss to West Virginia, 9-6 and played a consolation game against Georgia, which they won 12-2.
