Selecting a Level of Play
There are Six Levels of Play
| 1 |
Tee Ball - Ages
5-6:
A soft incrediball is used. Players hit the
ball from a batting tee (no one pitches). No score is kept. Each player plays
on the field and bats each inning. There is generally one practice per week lasting
about one hour and there is one Saturday game each week. Players provide a glove,
but Little League supplies a uniform. The player may keep the hat and the T-shirt.

Rookie - Ages
7 (6 if 5 when played T-Ball): A soft incrediball is used.
Coaches pitch to
the batter. No scores are kept. There is a mandatory play rule (everyone
plays). There is generally one practice per week and two games.
Players bring
their own glove, but ALL supplies a uniform. The player may keep the hat and
T-shirt.

|
| 3 |
Minors - Ages
8-9: A safety RIF ball is used.
Coaches pitch the
first part of the season and players begin pitching the second half of the season.
Teaching players to pitch consistently and accurately is a main focus at
this level. Score keeping is done casually, but no standings are kept and there are no championships
determined. There is a mandatory play rule (everyone plays).
There is
generally one practice per week and two games. Players bring their own glove, but

program. Players are announced with PA system at Barcroft Park.

Trophies reflect standings. All Star teams proceed to District Tournament, which is the first step on the
Road to the World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The players supply gloves
and cleats and Arlington ALL provides the uniform, all of which must be returned, except
the hat. Assignment to a team is done at the end of
February/early March.

Challengers - Ages
5-22: Mentally and physically challenged players are teamed up
with Majors 1 level players, who act as a buddy. There are no league standings or
tournament play, but all players receive a trophy. Each player plays the entire
game. There is one game each week, played on Sunday. Players provide their own
glove, but ALL supplies a uniform. The player may keep the hat and the T-shirt. |
