The Public Outreach & Publicity Committee will continue to expand ALL’s involvement in the community and enhance media relations. This committee will coordinate efforts, in all likelihood, with the Website & Technology Committee. Specific tasks and questions for discussion will include:
- Develop a mechanism and recruit a volunteer responsible for distributing press releases to local media regarding league events and accomplishments.
- Command media presence at major league events.
- Enhance ALL presence in the community through involvement at fairs, neighborhood days, etc.
- Continue work to bring baseball to more South Arlington schools, as started by County’s Outreach Committee.
- Review/adapt schedule for distribution of flyers (soft and hard copy) to public and private schools and preschools.
The committee will be chaired by Vice President Stephen Finn, and will include League Information Officer Aija Moeller.
